When I first hired Jon, he walked into a mess from a previous contractor. In short order, we were relieved to find someone who had an old school work ethic, honest, thorough and clear. Jon took the time to walk through our project, note deficiencies, check with engineering, and get everything quoted. Sub trades were high quality, and were managed well and work progressed steadily. Jon is very hands on and assisted often, most importantly, he took the time to explain and offer suggestions; even if unrelated to his work scope. When some of the sub trades fell behind schedule, Jon took it quite personally and made things happen. Through no fault of his own, he accepted the responsibility and managed things well to get things back on track. In the end, the delay was very minor all things considered. This was large project, spanning months. At the very most, it was a one week delay. That is nothing considering the quality of work did not suffer.

His quotes were accurate, and there were no surprises. Any deficiencies/difference of opinions were discussed and rectified immediately. There were no heated discussions of forced “up sales”. It was a very straight forward process. I really appreciated Jon taking the time to do everything in writing so there were no surprises or miscommunications.

My only regret is not finding Jon to start our project from the start to finish. I would highly recommend him and should we require future work, I would call on Ingram renovations in a heartbeat.

When I thought of doing the Legal Basement Suite, I was worried how to find a good person/contractor to do my basement. In Ontario 2 relatives of mine lost money to contractors in Brampton and Markham . They took the Advance, signed the papers and then never show up again so I was worried because I work out of city not living in house. So it was hard decision for me to choose and trust someone when you are 500 KM away from home.

But when I met John, I feel comfortable, he is an easy going person to deal with. I am really happy with his work and he finished project ahead of time 1 month early.

I will recommend him if you want easy, headache-free work for your project. Will recommend him to my other relatives as well for sure .
